Siren Song
Whale boat for Oakland Women’s Rowing Club

Siren Song was designed specifically for Oakland's Ladies of the Lake rowing club, and was built at Berkeley Marine Center. The rowboat has a hullform simialr to a 19th century New England whale boat -- constructed out of fiberglass and designed to be lighter, more stable and significantly easier to maintain. The boat also features a walk-through centerline, so no stepping over the seats. Siren Song can be seen on Lake Merritt along with a second identical hull built and launched in 2012.

ORWC was founded in 1916 and is the longest running womens’ rowing club in the country
