Glass Slipper
A boat-builder's 40' carbon fiber sled

Glass Slipper was born from the same hull plug as Antrim’s Class 40 California Condor, but without the constraints of the Class 40 rules. Thus her hull and deck are constructed primarily from carbon fiber instead of fiberglass, with a considerable weight savings. She will also sport a radical flush deck instead of a tall cabin house, a coffee grinder in the cockpit, and for good measure, a taller carbon rig.

This new highly modified Class 40, or “Crass 40” as some are calling it, was being built for and by Cree and Julie Partridge, the owners of Berkeley Marine Center. This yard has been the birthplace of many of Antrim’s designs over the years.

Glass Slipper splashed in between the epic rain storms of spring, 2023, and went for her first sail on a wet day in March.
